The last leaf

A dear friend gifted me this poem for this image
The leaf was so lonely
All by it self…no one to share.. Her feelings with
She had known this for long..
No butterflies, no bees, no birds would swarm

Now she thinks the wind is her foe
One who was.. A friend so great
They played.. as so many springs went by
Now when Autumn came, she's afraid to fly..

She remembers her time a life gone by
When the rain made her tears.. of joy
Now the hails hits so hard
And the early dew forms, just the pain of heart

She fears waking early mornings
That this might be the last sun ray fallen on her body
She crinkles crackles in agony
But alas shes alone, no one to share

Share her dreams, her flights of fantasies
No prince charming, no dragons, no fairies
The rude reality for her to face alone
She awaits her destiny, now that is to be alone….

And she awaits again, the last of fall..
And Alas ..The last leaf might just fall..

Upmanyu
Thank you :)

Rescue Tag

Sigh… Don’t even feel like looking at the date of my last blog. :(
After screwing up my brain for almost a week now… I still haven’t found any new subject for the post…. I guess my friends are right… ’m just too addicted to Flickr these days. But I love my blog as well… so I decided to take this open tag from Sayesha’s blog for the new post. It sounded pretty interesting to me.

Here are the rules :
1. Put your music player on Shuffle mode.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. Write the song name no matter what it is.
4. After you’ve answered all the questions, tag 5 other people and let them know they’ve been tagged.

Before doing this …I added all the hindi songs I had to the playlist… English songs wouldn’t be so much fun for this… I guess ;)
So here I go……

If someone says “Is this oky?” …you say :
Chaka raka chi chai cho chaka lo rum…
…Bagad dum chagd dum chiki chaka cho
Dekho dekho kya who ped hai
Chadar ode ya khada koi…
..Hum jaise dekhi yeah jahaan hai waisa hi
Jaisi nazar apni
Bum bum bole, masti mein dole
Bum bum bole, masti mein tu dol re
(Quite philosophical answer ;)

What would best describe your personality?
Haan hai koi to wajah
To jeene ka maza yun aane laga
Yeah hawaon mein hai kya
Thoda sa jo naasha yun chhane laga
(not bad :D )

What do you like in a guy/girl ?
Udde jab jab zulfain teri…
Udde jab jab zulfain teri..

How do you feel today ?
Everybody put your hands together
Pur your hands together…. De tali

What is your life’s purpose?
Sajde mein yun hi jhukta hoon
Tum pe hi aake rukta hoon
Khuda janeeeeeeeeeee….
(so true… actually ‘khuda jane..’ :P )

What do your friends think of you?
Tum se hi din hota hai.. surmayi shaam ati hai…
(lolz …I wish this is true ;)

What do you think of your parents?
Cause my baby’s got
Ooooooooooooooooo… angel eyes…angel eyes
(Didn’t even remember that I have this song :O )
Well I would rather dedicate this one...
‘Tuje sab hai pata meri maa…. ‘ :)

What do you think about very often?
Kyon aaj kal neend kum…khawab zayada hai
Lagata khuda ka koi nek irada hai
(quite apt. :D )

What is 2 + 2?
Aaoge jab tum ooo sajana
Angana phool khilenge….
(:/ )

What do you think of your best friend?
Ahista ahistaaaaaa… muje yahkeen ho gaya….
(… that I can count on you :)

What do you think of the person you like?
Kabhi ana tu meri gali… tuje palko pe rakhunga (rakhungi ;) re
Baat dil ki kahoon… Hindustani jo hoon… jab jee chahe to aajana re….
(Well …not a true answer…but still quite apt. )

What is your life story?
Man mohana… Kanha sunonaaaa….
Tum bin paun kaise chai…tarsu tumhiko din rain…
(True for the time being.. ;)

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Khoo na jaye yeeeeeee… Tare zameen par
(Lol… who doesn’t want to be a celebrity)

What do you think of when you see the person you like?
Kabhi kabhi Aditi zindgi me yunhi koi apna lagata hai..
Kabhi kabhi Aditi who bichhad jaye to ek sapana lagata hai
(I was expecting some interesting song this time :(

What do your parents think of you?
Dhaani… re dhaani.. chunariya
Kule baadal ke saiye me lehraye gee
Cahli jaye gee.. jaise bijuriya.. mastani

What will you dance to at your wedding?
Bakhuda tumhi ho…har jagah tum hi ho…
(Not a bad idea ;)

What will they play at your funeral?
Talli hua…talli hua…
Yaara dekho yaara mera talli hua…
(lolz…guys we’re talking about me being ‘dead’ not ‘drunk’ :P)

What is your hobby/interest?
Chhaliya chhaliya chhaliya… ruh churaloon me hoon aisi chhaliya…
(Soul stealing… lolz… “me Mr Yumraj ki assistant banana chahti hoon” types )

What is your biggest secret?
Yeh tumahri meri batain … hamesha yunhi chalti rahe..
Yeh hamri mulaktain……..hamesha yunhi chalti rahe..
(Yeah..I do talk a lot… but that’s no secret :D )

What do you think of your friends?
Kehana hi kya…ye nain ek anjan se jo mile…
(Hummm… true… can’t believe they we were strangers some day)

What should you post this as?
De tali …tali de…life is just a holiday… tu nahi to kon hai mera…
…Bin tere kho jata …bore me ho jata…life hoti ekdum khali reee….
(This is actually more apt. for the previous question)

What do you think about this tag?
Suno ek thi kaanch ki gudiya..
..jogi mahi heer ranjana… sab nu jake mai ye bolna…
(Sighh… again quite vague :/)

Done
This was quite fun…. :D
… oh… and I would like to tag Ms Cinderella ;)

WRONG NUMBER...

I don’t blame people for dialing a wrong number. When an itchy to call finger is dancing on tiny-winy buttons of a cell phone… at least 1 one out of 10 digits is likely to go ‘wrong’ :P … But when the timing also goes wrong… it can be horrible or hilarious …depending on your luck ;)

Well… I used to get quite many wrong numbers on my previous number… so I got pretty much used to saying ‘wrong number’ and cut the line… beep beep beep . But this time Mom was the lucky one :D

Trinng trinng…. Trinng trinng…. Trinng trinng

Mom: Hello
Mr dumb: Hi… who is this?
Mom: who are you?
Mr dumb: It’s me
Mom: me who?
Mr dumb: but who are you?
Mom: whom do you wish you speak with?
Mr dumb: Hehehehhehe…. Mr XYZ
Mom: He’s not here
Mr dumb: then where is he?
Mom: I don’t know… this isn’t his number
Mr dumb: then who’s number is this?
Mom: Ours … :/
Mr dumb: But it should be XYZ’s number… anyways… can you give me XYZ’s number?
Mom: I don’t have his number
Mr dumb: why?
Mom: I don’t know him
Mr dumb: why?
Mom: :O
Mr dumb: its oky if you don’t know him… but please give me his number … I have to speak to him about something very important
Mom: I told you… I don’t have his number
Mr dumb: oky…ask someone else they might have his number
Mom: ask who?
Mr dumb: anyone who knows Mr XYZ
Mom: wht? :O … listen you’ve dialed wrong number.. there is no Mr XYZ here.
Mr dumb: hehehhehe…how can a number be wrong?
Mom: grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr….

Beep…beep…beep…beep….beep

‘The number you have dialed, has been switched off. Please try again later :O ………’

…. Getting used to??…. :/

BREAKING NEWS : AGAIN BLASTS IN DELHI
………… IN ANKHONE DEKHI TABAHI……… MASUM BACHHE KI MAUT… BLAH BLAH BLAH
:/
Sad …but true….
“ NAHI HAREGI DELHI ”… wht????????
Do these ppl have any other option?
“ How was the look of the smoke… tell us about the smell of it..”
Yeah… really… let’s discuss the type of bomb and all… after all it’s a happening subject these days.

Why ‘m getting irritated with the news channels? … its their job… it’s their way of earning… and a mean to increase their TRP.
Don’t even blame the government now…. no point expecting anything from them.

Grrrrrrrr… please change the channel…. Same story …different people… I don’t want to know the details …Whats the point?
Talk about it for few dayz… say “oh my god” several times and forget it…. That’s what we do… but is that all we ‘can’ do?

Was just discussing this with a friend….
I : may be we are just getting used to it now… :(
U: I m not yet getting used to it… and nobody should …its really serious issue… someone somehow should fix this once and for all

Lolz… my dear friend was still under the effect of ‘a Wednesday’
Nice movie… but who would do that? … Nobody wants to take the pain and give up his/her “peaceful” life for this.
“ I am fine… my family is fine… we are safe… so why should I bother? … of course I feel sad for those people who died in the blasts… but its government’s job to protect us”
Oh…rite…. Its government’s job… but if government is not doing it…. Aren’t we suppose to do something to save our home… our people? … or as it was said in the movie…. “wait till it happens to you” ???
We will celebrate 26th January / 15th August / 2nd October and other 100 n 10 “Jayanti” … sing patriotic songs “Bharat hum ko jaan se pyaara hai” etc… but do nothing. :/

“Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless.” – Calvin

That’s just sooooooooo true, Clavin… muuuaaahhhh…..
Anyways we spend our week dayz doing something that has “a point” ;/ … or at least we try so :P
It sounds easy …."to do something pointless" …. Buttttttt …….(pheww..) its damn difficult
But don’t worry … you don’t need to screw your peanut size brains in serch of “no point”
Here are some useful… (or say useless :P) suggestions
(Courtesy.....MTV Tickr ;)

# Read MTV tickr ‘seriously’ and write a blog on it

# Talk about rocket science with your stuffed toy (if you don’t have one… beg/buy/borrow/steal…but get it ;)

# Argue with your brother/ sister/ mom/ friends …. on a totally nonsense topic until they give up…. find out who has the maximum capacity to tolerate

#Work on your channel surfing speed... go from 0 to 60 in 5 seconds

#Don't move at all, get other people to do stuff for you. See how long you can make it before someone yells

# Practice the angry Bobby Deol expression, to be used when cab/rickshaw guys refuse to give change

# Clear out your book-shelves. Find old stuff and get nostalgic.

# Think of ways to improve your Facebook/Orkut profile. It needs all the help it can get.

# Do a detailed study of Aftab Shivdasani's history, early struggle and eventual rise to nothingness

# Count the stars ( naah… boring one… and you’ll hv to wait till d night for that… how about counting the people you’ve already bugged :P )

Got any more idea? ….. add them in comments :)

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Hello again :)
“Whats up”…..
hahah…. This has become like a universal line to start a conversation :P
And the universal answer to this is… “Nothing much” … huh… awarded as the most boring answer :/ … and most of the time its followed by “ you tell me” … and here Mr Newton is totally right about the equal reaction theory…. the most expected answer is again non-other than our most famous “nothing much”. At times… even if I am really up to something and want to talk about it… I would still start with “nothing much” only.. just out of the sad habit :P

Like friendship day, rose day, choco day etc. etc….. we should also start celebrating “WHAT’S UP” day… a day to find more interesting and entertaining answers than the usual “nothing much” ;D

But you know what…..apart from this “whats up” also … we ask and reply to so many useless/ meaningless questions everyday….. just like that

“Hey… Hows life?”
Huh…. I can write a whole essay in reply….. starting from life is a butterfly to it’s a dinosaur… :P … but generally prefer to say “great” … and most of the time… though not always…. I don’t even really mean it…. ‘M sure I’m not the only one who does this…rite?

“Are you back?”
Naaahhh…. Of course not… ‘m still busy shopping.. the one standing in front of you is just a hologram messenger…. Who’s came here to tell you that I’m planning to skip the dinner today :/
Of course I am back :O
I know…. can’t say all this to a sweetheart mom… so again going by the traditional rules…. “yeah I am back… what’s for the dinner?”

“Whats happening?”
Duuhhh… I wish something was happening … so I wouldn’t have to do time pass chating with you or writing this blog :P
Intially I used to find it really difficult to answer this “happening” question… I would seriously start searching about some “happening” topic and get tensed when nothing happens :(… but now I’ve found the solution …. “nothing much” . What an answer… isn’t it ;)….. always helps ;D … you just need to add “you tell me” to it…. works like a mirror effect…. time for the other one to get tensed and search the topic. :P

Well… there is also a benefit to such questions. The day when some super intelligent alien (disguised as human) will come to spy on earth… even if he/she/whtever … has scanned & memorized the whole dictionary… won’t know that when someone asks “whts up” you’re not really suppose to look at the sky….
:P

oooh... why life is so complicated???

A brand new day…..
Ummm… actually its evening already… so more than half day is gone
.. and don’t ask me ‘what’s up’ … I’ve got nothing to say more than ‘ nothing much ‘ :/….hate it

Actually no… life is not that sad yet
And so far as mom & dad are there to keep adding ‘masala’ to it
Well recent update is… they are searching for ‘Mr. right’

Yeah... I THINK ‘m actually ready to get married IF I find the right guy
:/
So my friends keep asking …
“what kind of guy?”
Hadn’t thought about it yet… but got tired of saying “I don’t know” and finally figured out a complicated looking answer to keep them busy for a while
;)

Well... there are few basic things which are necessary
1- Good career
2- Nature... being a good person is very very important... that’s what I learnt recently
3- Looks.... of course... expectation is not as high as "hero looks" (... though I don’t mind Ranbir ;) ... but yeah... decent enough
4- Smart enough
5- Should love me a lot and be loyal... (ohh that’s again very important :)

So that’s it...
Sounds very simple... but isn’t that easy to find one like this...
.:/
…and when u find all these in one person... suddenly u realize... that something is still missing... call it chemistry or X factor
I don’t know... but that something is very important.. u can’t define it... at times u yourself don’t know what exactly that thing is
May be that is called the search for "the one"
God knows.... if “the one" really exist or not... but still lets try... ;)

And here comes the biggest problem... where to start from... there is not specific market for this “the one"
:P
Where to search for him... no website... no search engine.... I don’t trust matrimonial sites
No picture to match with... apart from the hazy painting in ur mind
No specified signs to tell you how to recognize him
No omens to let you know... that your search meets the end here
No "akashwani" or "bijali drama"
:/
The scariest part.... he can be jus right around the corner... just a hand stretch away... and you will be still busy searching for him in the other corner... or even worse.... in the person sitting beside him.... after a while... he will go away... out of your reach.... and then you realize.... "Goshhh... he was the one... how stupid of me"... but no use.... or you might not realize it ever n keep waiting for him and complain to God.... "Where is he..... or have u forgotten to make one for me??? "
Hehehehhe

Dear God.... this is not fair... it shouldn’t be so difficult to find your Mr./Ms right...... please make it little easier… or at least give some clue ;)

... if we can really think this way

Another slow day... nothing much to do... and getting bored
so doing my favourite time pass.... just surfing on random subjects.... and came across this little prayer.... and thought it's worth sharing.
Half of the problems of life will be solved if we can really think this way :) ... at least let's try.

" Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can’t make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment , knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love. "

ME THEN…. ME NOW

Hummm… just finished reading my last post.
Its been six months…. Huh :O
…and I’m not the same person anymore :(
But still the way of writing… ooops… typing… remains same
I guess… these little things…. These habits... only make us… who we are
Don’t know what I’m saying… but still I believe… you’ve understood what I couldn’t say

Oh by the way….. OSO was quite intertaining… and Sawariya… a big flop show…
(I know that you already know this… but still …)
How amazing that Ranbir and Sonam are not tagged as “flop”
Only the movie was a miss… not the stars…. Grt
M happy for them :)

Oky…. Time for flashback ;)

Date: … ummmm… I don’t remember… but that was just before Diwali
Time: … afternoon… I guess
Didn’t have much work… and was getting bored…. So I decided to pay lil attention to my dear blog… which I had created… for nothing else but timepass ;)

Pooh… leave those unnecessary details aside.
I was quite a happy person… or say… happier in compare to present :P
Yeah… happiness is quite a subjective matter that way…
Its only now that I’m realizing … I “was” ..”happy” at that time.
In the night you realize that during the day.. it was so bright and nice… :/ … ummm … something like that
But … still .. I like this unhappiness… because … next time … when the happiness comes back…. I will value it (hopefully ;) and will waste no time worrying about “if” :P
Heheheh… don’t give me those looks… I know easier said than done…. I ‘m most likely to do the same mistakes again and again… but “abhi ke liye…ye khayal achcha hai ;)”

What else…. Office and boss… are still same….
But I’ve learnt to deal with them in better manner…. :D
Now she doesn’t really give me any surprised looks when I ask her silly questions..
Oh …by the way… now I ask only 90 questions per day… :P 20 questions lesser than earlier

Gosh… so much has happened between…. That day… and … this day
Hardly 5 months… and … life is just so different now..
Actually no… life is still same… but the way I look at it now… is different…. Very different

Oops…. I am talking just about myself… and you must be getting bore… coz I’m not even giving any intresting details and jus going on cribbing about “something” :P
Hehehhe…. I didn’t ask you to read this… did i? ;)
But so sweet of you that you are still reading… :)…. Muuuaaahhhh
But don’t torture yourself anymore….. there is no “mirch-masala” you gonna get here
Its just upset ME …. Who wanted to talk… not to anyone in particular…but not even to myself…. So what better option than this blog….
…and I guess I am done now… or may be not… ummmmmm
Do I really want to write further…????
I don’t know….
I’d thought I am done… but my fingers are still going on… :/
Its difficult to understand people…. But at times its more difficult to understand your own self….. at least…for me it is…. :P
Oooohh… stop it….. stop typing…. Come on….
Mr. brain is tired and giving red alerts …
Come on kids… I know you love to type… but now its time to take some rest….
Erierjoewjrioewjrewrje…. Elreireji
Dfoerjiejre
Siernerne

Direire
Dorferier
Eirenre

Huh… oky… tired now…. :)
Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Take care of yourself …(I really mean it ;)

Love you all
:)
Cheers
